造形作家植田明志2020年個展『NATIVE CHILDREN』作品。
今年発足した自社工房「怪談倶楽部」にて完全再現したレプリカ。
普段デコマスを作る塗装チームスタッフは一点一点丁寧に仕上げます。

作品コンセプト
今回の新作の「空を見上げるパンケーキツムリ」も、見た目は可愛いけれどお腹に目があって、紅茶の涙をコップに溜めていたり、実は座っている子はあくまで「カラ」。動くことも考えることもできません。本体はパンケーキのようなカタツムリです。
ちょっとドキッとしませんか？
そういうギャップを楽しんで頂けたらと思います。
