Takayuki Takeya
Sculptor and designer.
Born on December 10, 1963, in Hokkaido.
Graduated from Asagaya College of Art and Design.
He is recognized for his overwhelming skills in sculpture and design, specializing in organic mechanical designs and creature creations. His works span character design, arrangement, and sculpting for films, games, and toys. Notable contributions include the films "Shin Godzilla," "Attack on Titan," "GARO," as well as the visual works "Giant God Warrior Appears in Tokyo" and "The Great Yokai War." He also served as the general director for the Ghibli exhibition "The World of Nausicaä: The Ohmu," among other projects.
His publications include "The Fisherman’s Angle: Complete Expanded Edition" (Kodansha) and "Forms of Awe" (Genkosha).
